John Frammesley a vintner from London was accused of sedition/treason and executed. Four days after the Duke of Suffolk had fled London under the cover of darkness, John was arrested for chanting in the Streets of Dowgate (near current Cannon Street Station), “By this toun, by this toun, for his array the King should lose his Croune”. By one chronicler, John was described as, “an olde poure man”.
John’s head was placed on London Bridge, alongside the rotting heads of fellow protestors, Thomas Cheynes and Nicholas Jacques.
